House Happenings II

The house construction is moving along very quickly!  Every day we go out there, it looks more and more like a home.

Here is what it looks like in the order it's been completed...

Completed Framing
Drilling our House Well
One of the biggest changes was the sheet rock installation.  It made such a dramatic difference!  The kids were so excited to see how the house would actually be on the inside.  They had been walking through the walls from the beginning, so it was fun to see them run from room to room and play hide and seek in the closets.
Real Walls!
I love this picture that Rusty took one morning.  This is only half bricked in the front, but I really love what our mornings will look like out there!

First stage of brick
Here is a little closer picture of both the brick and the shingles.

Closer Brick View
The most exciting development out there this past week has been the cabinet installation.  It literally took our breath away to walk in and see this!
Kitchen Cabinetry
Rusty and I spent all day Saturday cleaning up.  We picked up all of the brick, trash and lumber so Rusty could level off the surrounding dirt a bit more.  I picked up so many nails... I know there are a million more, but I've got a plan.  I told Ty and Allie I'd give them a penny for every nail they pick up and throw in the dumpster.  We should be nail free by 2075! ;)
Finished Brick after cleanup
It has been so much fun to watch the house progress each week.  We are all very excited to be moving into our new home soon!  We are still on target for a late May completion date!
